Museum Entrance will soon be Blooming Wonderful

hank you to the generosity of Seneca Museum members James and Denise Brakefield, the outdoor pot, by the entrance, will soon be awash with color and beautiful flowers.
For the 3rd year running, Denise noticed the rather barren pot out front that had been ravaged by the winter chills.
So off went Denise and she purchased a range of beautiful flowers and donated them to the museum. Not only did Denise and James donate the flowers but Denise also planted them all for us.

Thank you so much for your support and care.

A Friend Passes

The museum regrets to announce the passing of Margaret Gage on May 2.

Margaret was a dedicated volunteer at the Seneca Museum and gave generously of her time to our visitors and took on any task that needed to be done.

Margaret was a native of Seneca Falls, born in 1942. She worked for many years for the Knight Letter works, later known as Matthews International Corp. on Chestnut St. She donated a box of archives and artifacts from the company which represented this company from 1969 until her retirement.

She was thrilled to be involved in the It’s a Wonderful Life events at the museum, especially meeting the hundreds of visitors as they waited in line to get autographs from Zuzu & Janie!

Margaret was a joy to work with. We will miss her.
