Individual/Family

As the Seneca Museum of Waterways & Industry enters its 19th year, and as we continue to strive to improve our visitors’ experience by maintaining, improving and creating new displays, your generosity is appreciated. We have worked towards our awareness in the community, increased the number of schools touring and increased the free programs available to all, continuation of this can only be achieved with your valuable support.

Due to its unique location along and within moving waterways, early Seneca Falls served as a focal point for manufacturing and a resulting population growth. The addition of traveling routes and railways created an atmosphere that drew together the affluent, the educated, and those who desired to disseminate their social, philosophical, and religious writings and teachings. To a large degree, we owe our existence and rich history to the waterway that now is our canal harbor and today, our mission, is to celebrate that history. 2016 was another record year for attendances. During last year, we achieved some noteworthy accomplishments:

  • The wonderful partnership with the Women’s Rights National Historical Park and the opportunity to bring a total of 17 events FREE to the community utilizing the Parks outstanding facilities.
  • With the generous help from our corporate sponsors we were able to expand our already popular Summer Camps to 2 FREE camps. Each child learns about the history of Seneca Falls and the workings and importance of the canal. All children receive FREE lunch every day. They also enjoy the highlight of our camp, a boat cruise along the canal.
  • Creation of several new displays and refurbishment of a few that were badly in need of some well-earned TLC.
  • The greeting and touring of OVER 26,000 visitors to the Visitor Venter/Seneca Museum

This year Seneca Museum is very excited to announce that we are once again partnering with the Women’s Rights National Historical Park. This partnership allows us the opportunity to utilize the facilities of the National Park with museum events planned for the Guntzel Theatre and The Wesleyan Chapel. Also, our Summer Camp children will benefit from this partnership.

As a member of the museum, you will receive:

§   20% discount in our gift shop.             §   Advance seating for programs

§   Special notification of all events.        §   Research privileges at the museum.

We ask that you continue to partner with the Museum by making a tax-deductible donation. Donation  envelopes are available at the museum or please you can utilize our online payment options at  www.senecamuseum.com/membership/.
